Patrick M. Gallagher joined Gallagher in 2000 as a member of Gallagher’s Summer Internship Program. In 2008, after six years of producing and managing a business unit in Chicago, he moved to London to manage Gallagher’s Lloyd’s of London-related wholesale business. By 2010, Patrick was promoted to run the worldwide property & casualty wholesale division. In April 2011, Patrick assumed leadership of the UK retail division of Gallagher International – Gallagher Heath, and helped lead the expansion of Gallagher’s global footprint as a member of the International Executive Committee. He returned to the United States in 2013 as an executive vice president to help run the retail brokerage division’s Midwest Region and was named president of the region in 2016. In 2019, Patrick was appointed Chairman, Canada & Caribbean and CEO of Latin America and in 2021, President of Gallagher Brokerage-Americas. In 2024, he assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and General Management from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
