Mr. Gallagher has spent his entire career with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in a variety of management positions, starting as a production account executive in 1974, then serving as Vice President of Operations from 1985 to 1990, as President and Chief Operating Officer from 1990 to 1995, as President from 1995 to 2023 and Chief Executive Officer since 1995.
From 2011 to 2019, Mr. Gallagher served on the board of directors of InnerWorkings, Inc., a global, publicly traded provider of managed print, packaging and promotional solutions, where he was appointed to its compensation and nominating/governance committees.
