(NYSE: AJG) today announced the acquisition of Fishermans Insurance Services,
Inc., dba FIS Marine, of Seattle, Washington. Included in the transaction is
FIS Marine's affiliate, FIS Insurance Services, Inc. Terms were not
disclosed.
Founded in 1984, FIS Marine is a full-service marine insurance broker
offering all forms of risk management, marine and property/casualty insurance
products and services to their Pacific Northwest clients. They specialize in
commercial marine coverages for the fishing and passenger vessel, tug and
barge, and yachting industries. Robert S. Taylor, Bruce A. Thiffault and
their associates will continue to operate in their current Seattle location
under the direction of James McFarlane, West Coast Regional Manager of
Gallagher's Brokerage Services Retail Division.
